A MOST IMPROPER GENTLEMAN won the 2010 Golden Heart for Regency Historical.
In 2010, it also won:
The Beau Monde Royal Ascot for Regency Historical
The Molly (Historical)
Heart of the Rockies (Historical)
Reveal Your Inner Vixen
It was a finalist in every contest I entered it in, including The Golden Palm, and it was also nominated in the Molly's Unsinkable Heroine Category.

My second book, The Devil May Care, won the 2010 Beau Monde Royal Ascot in the Hot Regency category, and won the Historical category of the 2009 Golden Pen.
In 2010, it was also a finalist in:
The Emily
Great Expectations
Fab Five
Reveal Your Inner Vixen (came in second place behind A Most Improper Gentleman!).

Since I was a Golden Heart finalist for A Most Improper Gentleman (then called Shameless) in 2009 as well, I'm lucky enough to count myself a member both of the uber-talented Unsinkables and of the extraordinary Ruby Slippered Sisters. I'll blog here when I can, but you'll hear more from me at the 2009 finalists' website, rubyslipperedsisterhood.com

WOO-HOO!! I'm a Golden Heart finalist again for 2010!!!!

Pop the champagne!  A MOST IMPROPER GENTLEMAN has been named a finalist in the Regency category of the 2010 Golden Heart!!

What a day!!  I was up at 6 a.m. California time this morning, when I heard the earliest news about Golden Heart Finalists who'd been notified in Australia (including fellow Ruby Slippered Sister Vanessa Barneveld!!!) But it was a long, long wait for me.  I had my cell phone with me all day, but the call didn't come and didn't come. I thought for sure I'd know by 2:00 Texas time, but NO!! the Regency category was still utterly bare. (I began to think I'd just imagined it was a category, and that my 2009 final never happened...and then I thought perhaps i was experiencing hysterical blindness.)

About 87 million hits of the refresher key later, at about 2:20, the Regency finalists suddenly popped up on rwa.org.

Whew!!

And what a day on the Ruby Sister blog--we had FIVE HUNDRED commenters at our Cyber-Party.  Please join us tomorrow, Friday March 26, for our after-party.  rubyslipperedsisterhood.com

if you want to learn more about me, actually, that blog is the place to go.

Congrats to all the new finalists, and to my fellow Rubies who've had lightning strike again!

See you all in Nashville!

Less than a week til new Golden Heart Finalists are announced!
I can't believe it's been nearly a year since I got on the Golden Heart rollercoaster!  The 2010 finalists will be announced at rwa.org on Thursday, March 25, and we're talking all about it on the 2009 Finalists' website, rubyslipperedsisterhood.com. (On Tuesday Feb 16, I posted on the Top Ten Things I've Learned Since Finaling in the Golden Heart. I've added the text under "Excerpts."  I'll also be hosting our cyber-after-party on Friday March 26.)

Since the last time I posted here, THE DEVIL MAY CARE also finaled in the Emily and in Great Expectations (it placed 1st in Golden Pen in December), and I've had another request for the full.

Now I just have to complete the current round of revisions and get it out to everyone who's waiting on it!

Cheers to everyone who's entered the Golden Heart! My fingers are crossed for you all!
