A MOST IMPROPER GENTLEMAN won the 2010 Golden Heart for Regency Historical.
In 2010, it also won:
The
Beau Monde Royal Ascot for Regency Historical
The
Molly (Historical)
Heart of the Rockies (Historical)
Reveal Your Inner Vixen
It was a finalist in every contest I entered it in, including The Golden Palm, and it was also nominated in the Molly's Unsinkable Heroine
Category.
My second book, The
Devil May Care, won the 2010 Beau Monde Royal Ascot in the Hot Regency category, and won the Historical
category of the 2009 Golden Pen.
In 2010,
it was also a finalist in:
The Emily
Great Expectations
Fab Five
Reveal Your Inner Vixen (came in second place behind A Most Improper Gentleman!).
Since I was a Golden Heart finalist for A
Most Improper Gentleman (then called Shameless) in 2009 as well, I'm lucky enough to count myself a member
both of the uber-talented Unsinkables and of the extraordinary Ruby Slippered Sisters. I'll blog here when I can,
but you'll hear more from me at the 2009 finalists' website, rubyslipperedsisterhood.com.
Really... I mean it. Check out the 2009 Golden Heart Finalists blog

Out of the blue, UNLOCKED has appeared as an e-book...just 99 cents at the moment on Amazon, where it's listed at #124 in sales.
SB Sarah and Dear Author's Jane have both given it glowing reviews, and
given how AMAZING Courtney Milan's first novella, THIS WICKED GIFT, was, (and given the quality o her tiny little short story about Smite, which you can see on her website) I'm sure UNLOCKED is terrific. It's waiting for me on my Kindle as we speak.
The most interesting part: it appears to be self-pubbed. Good for you, smart and daring Miz Milan!
Frankly, you should have charged AT LEAST $2.99 for
this. That price difference wouldn't have slowed me for a millisecond, and I don't think it would slow down any of your fans.
And lookit how gorgeous the cover is.
Oh, my goodness people, RUN, DON'T WALK!!! Get this one!!
Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Sorry I've been MIA....
Life's been crazed lately, but I've also been writing like a maniac...so that's good all around.
For those
of you who haven't visited yet, you must check out the wonderful auction run by Brenda Novak--it's raising money to find a cure for Diabetes. My beloved nephew wrestles with that particular demon every day, and I want
to help him return to a normal life ASAP!! Special today: you can bid to get your very own author interview with the fabulous
women over at Smart Bitches Trashy Books!!! Don't miss that one, authors!!
Oh, and if you just want some out-and-out literary entertainment, check out
the really cool "extra" storyCourtney Milan has posted on her site. And if that's not enough for you--or if you went to see the Pirates of the Caribbean movie this weekend and need a little more aaarrr! in your life--another one of my Ruby Sisters has published
a book: Blood and Treasure, a Romancing the Pirate novel by Jennifer Bray-Weber.
Another winner via the very wonderful Sarah of smartbitchestrashybooks.com. Here's the original link. I've definitely got to add a car chase (and some explosions) to my latest Regency:
WOOT!! My little sister (and CP) keeps tearing up the contest circuit! She's now one of only SIX finalists in the entire
Beau Monde Royal Ascot contest!!!
And she placed second in the very difficult Marlene (after up-and-coming 2011 Golden Heart Regency
finalist Valerie Bowman), and got excellent scores and some wonderful comments from final judge Leah Hultenschmidt! You can read more at thesublurbs.com.
Makes me itchy to enter some contests again....but for now the goal is just to write, write, write!!!
It's time for the annual cover contest!! Lots of beautiful covers up for your voting pleasure, including the beautiful two-cover Forbidden Rose (my hands-down favorite
in that category)...and some real howlers in the Worst category. I know the authors had no control over those colors, and
it's probably mean to laugh, but, OH, MAN!!! The guy with the buttocks...that's all I'm going to say.
