A MOST IMPROPER GENTLEMAN won the 2010 Golden Heart for Regency Historical.
In 2010, it also won:
The Beau Monde Royal Ascot for Regency Historical
The Molly (Historical)
Heart of the Rockies (Historical)
Reveal Your Inner Vixen
It was a finalist in every contest I entered it in, including The Golden Palm, and it was also nominated in the Molly's Unsinkable Heroine Category.

My second book, The Devil May Care, won the 2010 Beau Monde Royal Ascot in the Hot Regency category, and won the Historical category of the 2009 Golden Pen.
In 2010, it was also a finalist in:
The Emily
Great Expectations
Fab Five
Reveal Your Inner Vixen (came in second place behind A Most Improper Gentleman!).

Since I was a Golden Heart finalist for A Most Improper Gentleman (then called Shameless) in 2009 as well, I'm lucky enough to count myself a member both of the uber-talented Unsinkables and of the extraordinary Ruby Slippered Sisters. I'll blog here when I can, but you'll hear more from me at the 2009 finalists' website, rubyslipperedsisterhood.com

What do Georgette Heyer and Scrivener have in common?

Well, not much, actually.

But I'm really excited about both of them this week!

In honor of Heyer's birthday, Sourcebooks is making all e-book versions of her work, including her many classic Regency romances, available for just $1.99 apiece. What a bargain! (The books normally sell for $13.99 each),  Run, don't walk, to your nearest Kindle and buy a bunch!!

On the writing front, I've been getting great results from the corkboard function in Scrivener software, and I'm blogging about it at the Ruby Slippered Sisterhood

Happy Camper!

webassets/participant_120x200.gifSorry for my prolonged radio silence...I've been traveling with family and also recovering from what turns out to have been a long bout with severe anemia. (This is why busy moms should go to the doctor more often. Go, ladies...I mean it! The doctor told me if my hemoglobin had been a couple tenths of a percent lower, they'd have transfused me.)

Anyhow, it's August already...and Camp NaNoWriMo is in its second month. I'm a-campin', and trying to pound out 50,000 new words before school starts again. Pass the bug spray, and don't even THINK about short-sheeting my bed!!
